my journey to Heaven, &
how this started.

Nailing my sins to the cross and surrendering it all to #Jesus was the best thing I’ve done this week/month/year. Renewal is here. (Taken with Instagram)
Lust, doubt, disobedience, and stubbornness. Giving it all to Him because His burden is far more light. (Matthew 11:30)
This is my first tattoo and one I had been thinking about for a few years. It is a dogwood tree with a lion woven in the branches. It symbolizes Jesus and the Cross. My grandpa told me a story when I was younger about how the dogwood tree was used for the Crucifixion and then the growth was stunted so it couldn’t be used for that purpose again. It’s flowers are cross shaped and beautiful. Although not biblically accurate in terms of the type of tree used, the symbolism coincides my love and faith in God.

Thank You for the cross that You have carried
Thank You for Your blood that was shed
You took the weight of sin upon Your shoulders
And Sacrificed Your life so I could live
In His cross, my trust shall be.
Love speaks louder. †
