Romans 6:1-2a | Romans 6:15
These two verses are so applicable to a practicing Christian’s daily mindset:
Yes, we’ve been given the freedom to make our own choices in life, but we shouldn’t be self-motivated to sin simply to experience God’s grace all the more.Yes, we’ve been freed through the blood of Jesus Christ so “we are not under the law, but under grace” (Romans 6:14), but we still need to abide by grace’s law, which is obedience to the LORD, moving away from sin.

Now that most polls are closed and the results are pouring in, here’s my first and only personal political post ever: all candidates are sinners.

(That’s a good start to this post, right?)

No candidate is ideal, no candidate can perfect a country in 4 years, no candidate can satisfy 300 million+ Americans.

But one thing’s for sure: Obama and Romney, just like you and me and everyone else, have sinned and fall short of the glory of God [Romans 3:23].

So no matter which candidate wins — even if you did/didn’t vote for him — pray for him. Respect him [Hebrews 13:17, 1 Peter 2:17]. Love him whether you regard him as your brother or as your enemy [Matthew 5:44]. You just keep being Jesus’ salt and light [Matthew 5:13-16], and He will use you to be the change you want to see around you.

My name is Lindsey and this is my first tattoo! It’s just a little something to start me off, but I love it. It says, “send me” referring to one of my favorite bible verses, Isaiah 6:8 that says, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? ”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”It’s on the back of my ankle/ heel. To break it down and make sense to you all, it’s a little declaration for myself saying that I’m willing to be sent wherever God wants me, I’m willing to be the feet of the body of Christ. Which is beautiful and terrifying all at once.
Romans 10:15, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Interesting opinionated blog (worth following if you’re a Christian who believes tattoos are okay).

A Christian challenge.

From this point forward, I won’t ignore cited bible verses. Every single time I see a bible reference — i.e.: paraphrase (Romans 9:18) — I will read it for myself in my bible, whether it be the app on my phone or my physical book.

Reblog if you will do the same.

P.S.: Did you look up Romans 9:18? :)

"But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you."
